Paula moved to Waco in 1985 from Hamilton, Texas to continue her education at McLennan Community College. She received her Associates in Applied Science in Real Estate in 1988 graduating with honors and being named to the school’s Dean’s List as well as the National Dean’s List. She also increased her knowledge while at MCC by taking business & accounting classes. In July of 1987 she received her State of Texas Real Estate License. At that time she joined the Waco Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In 2002 she received her State of Texas Brokers License.
With Education being a priority, she continued her education receiving several nationally recognized designations.

In addition to her designations, she has acquired the Referral & Relocation Certification(RRC) from the Women's Council of Realtors, named a Certified Listing Agent for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and At Home with Diversity from the National Association of Realtors.
Paula started her career at Coldwell Banker Hallmark Realty in 1987. In 1992 she joined RE/MAX Greater Waco where she was a yearly member of the 100% Club and was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. In 2006 she decided to move back to Coldwell Banker, this time associating with Jim Stewart, Realtors. Since then she has been in the top 2% of Coldwell Banker associates in the US.
She has served on the Waco Association of Realtors Board of Directors, where she was Secretary/Treasurer (2001), President Elect (2002) and President of the Association in 2003. She was named Realtor of the year in 1999. Locally for the Waco Association of Realtors she has served on the Budget Committee, Professional Standards, Grievance, Nominating, Strategic Planning, MLS, American Home Week and Education Committees. As well, she was co-chair of the Education Foundation in charge of all education for the association and trustee for the Association building. Nationally she has been a member of the Residential Sales Council since 1992 and served on two national committees for this organization.
In 1996 Paula was invited to receive the Baylor University Alumna by Choice Degree. She received the top fundraiser award for the Baylor/Waco Foundation in 1994 and presented the Old Main Westminster Chime Clock.
